Decluttering & Staging Your Home to Sell Quickly and For More Money
Staging your home to attract Buyers, so they can visualize themselves in the home is the desired outcome. Often it just takes getting rid of some furniture (you're getting ready to move so why not pack up all the personal pictures and knick knacks in advance).  Clean up the yard, organize the closets, donate what you haven't worn or used in a year.  Freshen up lights, freshen up worn paint etc.  A little will go a long way to sell your home quickly and for top dollar.

Decluttering/ depersonalizing your home, and lighly staging for potential home buyers to see themselves living in your home is the desired goal.  When a Home Buyer can visualize themselves living in the home, that is a win.  It becomes personal and emotion gets attached to the offer as they do not want to lose the opportunity to live in the home.  
Take down all your the personal pictures, mementos of travel and your time there.  Organize the closets, donate or get rid of items you have not worn in a year or more.  Pack up 1/3 of your personal belongs as you are moving anyway so this will not only help to sell, but will get you on top of your to do list. Also, lightly touch up paint where necessary, and make sure all lighting is working properly.
